Nellie Florence Denton (Tinsey)
Nellie Florence Denton (Tinsey), 72, of Providence died Friday, June 19, 2015 at Select Specialty in Evansville, IN.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Denton; one daughter, Angela Foe; three brothers, Ronnie Dills, Sonny Dills, and Robert Dills; four sisters, Betty Watson, Eva Andrews, Connie Dills and Brenda Morse.
Services were conducted Sunday, June 21, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Jones & Kirby Funeral Home in Providence.
Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery in Providence.
Shelby Rubenia Brown
Shelby Rubenia Brown, 79, of Shady Grove died Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Baptist Health in Madisonville.
She is survived by one son, John Mark Warren; one daughter, Robyn Warren; one brother, Kenneth Brown; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; several one niece, one nephew and several great-nephews.
Services were conducted Tuesday, June 22, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Jones & Kirby Funeral Home in Providence.
Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery in Shady Grove.
Wilma R. Parker
Wilma R. Parker, 81, of Sebree, found peace at 5:18AM Friday June 19, 2015 at her daughter’s home in Henderson while under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.
Wilma was a fifty year member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Sebree Chapter #240. She dutifully served as the Worthy Matron for numerous terms, providing her strength and stability to its members when it was thought the chapter might close. Many chapter meeting were opened and closed under her direction as she quoted sayings from her friendship book of poems to her friends and guests. The chapter was able to carry on for many years under her watchful care. She helped the chapter celebrate its 75th anniversary in 1990, as the chairman of the anniversary committee and she was looking forward to her beloved chapter’s 100th anniversary celebration this year. Wilma was recognized with several notable honors. She was appointed as a Grand Representative from 2003-2005 and as Chairman of the Deputy Grand Matrons in 2011-2012 and she received the “Hands of Service” award for her many good works in 2012. But, her greatest accomplishments can be measured in the little things, her day-to-day small acts of service to her family and friends.
Wilma was a faithful member of Sebree First Christian Church. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Homemakers Club and the Webster County Homemakers Council. She was a member and secretary of the board of GRADD for several years and was an advocate and supporter for programs for our senior citizens. Wilma exemplified what it means to have a servant heart and joyful spirit, quietly and faithfully serving many organizations and groups with her sweet smile and patient diligence.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Charles D. Parker.
She is survived by her children: Craig A. Parker and his wife Deanna of Nebo, Karen Parker Allinder and husband Tom of Henderson; grandchildren are Andrea Allinder Kirkpatrick and her husband Dr. David Kirkpatrick, Denton Parker and his wife Kellie, Elizabeth Allinder Dobso and her husband Justin, Dr. Matthew Allinder and his wife Emilie, Jessica Parker, Amber Hughes and Adam Parker and four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were conducted at 10:30 AM Monday, June 22, 2015 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel with Bro. Bill Anderson and Bro. Paul Stone officiating.
Burial was in Springdale Cemetery.
Friends and relatives were invited to celebrate Wilma’s life on Sunday, June 21, 2015 from 1-5PM where The Order of the Eastern Star Service was conducted at 4 PM and Monday 9 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Ronnie Cleat Braden
Ronnie Cleat Braden 71, of Clay, formerly of Providence, passed away Friday June 19, 2015 at Celebration Health near Orlando, FL.
He was born October 9, 1943 to William and Corrine Braden of Providence.
He was retired from the U.S. Army, while in the army he was involved in the Vietnam conflict and was a member of the Special Forces. He retired as Police Chief from the City of Providence. He was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years Marylou Braden of Clay; three daughters, Cathy Whitley of Melbourne, FL, Marjorie Arzie of Glen Saint Mary, FL., Marlana Khaleel of Grovetown, GA; two sons, Kemberle Braden of Fayetteville, N.C., and William Braden of Clay; two sisters, Lyndi Bryan and Chaun Castleberry both of Madisonville; 1 brother, Kemberle “Jeff” Braden of Jackson, TN.; 11 grandchildren Brook Arzie, Shea Arzie, Baylee Whitley, Christian “CJ” Braden, Kerstin Braden, Landon Braden, Lexie Braden, Lawson Braden, Kaylyn Braden, Alia Khaleel, and Janna Khaleel.
Memorial services will be conducted Friday June 26, 2015 7 p.m. at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Bro. Ronnie Cullen officiating and full military rites will also be conducted.
Friends may visit with the family from 5 p.m. until service time on Friday.

James Michael Bryant, 57, of Henderson, formerly of Greenville died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson.
He is survived by one daughter, Ashley Delong of Corydon; three sons, James Michael Bryant, Jr. of Graham, David James Bryant of Diamond and Josh Bryant of Evansville, IN; two sisters, Sandra Foster of Greenville and Diane Flanigan of Clarkesville, IN; one brother, Dennis Bryant of Clay; five grandchildren.
Services were conducted Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay.
Burial was in Friendship Cemetery in Greenville.
Bonnie Ruth Montgomery
Bonnie Ruth Montgomery (Hackney), 81, of Clay died Thursday June 11, 2015 at 4:20 of natural causes at Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville.
She leaves surviving family members (son) Boyd Montgomery of Fort Pierce FL, (daughter) Carolyn Crawford of Newburgh IN, (son) David Montgomery of Dry fork VA, (daughter) Bonnie Scott of Evansville IN, (daughter) Sherry Cook of Warren OH, (son) Billy Montgomery of Clay, (son) James Montgomery of Clay, (son) Stephen Montgomery of Clay and also surviving 14 grandchildren and three step-grandchildren and also 16 great-grandchildren and (sister) Bobby Jean Jones of St. Charles.
She was cremated at James H Davis Owensboro. She was buried at Shady Grove Cemetery. She went home to be with her husband William Montgomery and her daughter Sandra Kay Montgomery. paid
Gloria Jean Moore Hayes
Gloria Jean Moore Hayes was born on June 8, 1944 in Marion, Crittenden County, Kentucky.
Anna C. Hamilton and William Louis Moore were her parents. She married Robert P. Hayes on July 27, 1961. Six children were born to their union.
Gloria accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Leiper Street Baptist Church in Dixon. For thirty years she served in various positions at the church. She was instrumental in having the church recognized as a historical African-American church in the town of Dixon.
Gloria had a “can do” spirit. She always tried to make the world a better place and was willing to step in to get the job done. For example, when her husband who was the first black city commissioner in Dixon died, Gloria was appointed to fill out the remainder of his term. She spearheaded the effort of having the portion of Dixon Oak Grove Cemetery set aside for African Americans maintained in a like manner as the main portion. She managed to care for her family and obtain an Associate degree from Madisonville Community College in Business. Gloria was also an entrepreneur and owned her own business up until her death.
In 1992, Gloria relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio. She became a member of Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church and attended faithfully for over 20 years. She sang in the Adult Mass Choir, the 8:00 am Choir, and the Women’s Choir.
Gloria leaves to cherish her memory: daughters; Barbara Ann Hayes, Jacqueline Marie Suggs (David), Della Viola Dulin (Tony), Roberta Jean Jeffers (Darren), Bonita Kay Bogle, Stacy Lynn McGhee (Kionne); sister, Tina Johnson of Indianapolis, IN; two brothers, James F. Johnson and Richard Johnson, Indianapolis IN; ten grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday June 28, 2015 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday June 29, 2015 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Dixon with the Rev. James Brasher officiating. paid

Malcolm Martin Brown 91, of Providence, passed away Tuesday June 23, 2015 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Clay since 1979, where he also was a deacon. He was preceded in death by his brother Hubert Brown and a sister Bonnie McConnell.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Anna Etta Brown of Providence; one daughter, Jeanetta Brown of Providence; one son, Kivil Brown of Slaughters; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday June 25, 2015 11 a.m. at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Bro. James Taylor and Bro. Earl Reeves officiating and burial to follow in Rocksprings Cemetery in Wheatcroft.
Visitation will be Wednesday June 24, 2015 4-8 p.m. and Thursday 9 a.m. til service time.

Services were conducted Monday, June 8, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters/Hanson Chapel with Greg Ranes officiating.
Burial was in New Salem Cemetery near Slaughters.

Brown of Albion, IL; two sisters, Sarah Winfrey of Dryer, AR and Betty Stone of Tulu; two brothers John Paul Tinsley and Robert Ray Tinsley both of Marion; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Poobear.

Kyle was Coach of the Webster County Girls Golf Team and also Kentucky 2nd Region Basketball Referee.
He is survived by his parents Michael and Melinda Overby; brother Ryan (Hillary) Overby, Jason Overby; niece Paige Overby and nephew Parker Overby.
Visitation will be at Jones & Kirby Funeral Home Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 4-8. Service will be at First Christian Church, in Providence, Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation 1p.m. until service time with Interment at First Christian Church Cemetery.

Hugh Thomas “Tom” Grigg
Hugh Thomas “Tom” Grigg, 84, of Wheatcroft, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Methodist Hospital Union County in Morganfield.
Mr. Grigg was in the U.S. Army where he served in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and served in the Korean War. He worked for 36 years as a coal miner for Badgett, Island Creek and Peabody Coal Companies. He was a member of United Mine Workers of America. Mr. Grigg was also a lifetime member of the VFW in Sullivan. He was a member of the United States Trotting Association for many years and he was lifelong lover of Harness Racing. He was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Jackie Grigg of Wheatcroft; three daughters, Kathy Martin and her husband Larry of Smith Mills, Lisa Attebery and her husband Gary of Henderson, and Kristi Melton and her husband Alan of Niagara; six grandchildren, Eric Martin and his wife Dawn, Leigh Ann Loney and her husband Mark, Tom Fears and his wife Jessie, Sara Riggins, Taylor Young and Caleb Melton; three step-grandchildren, Julie Lawrence and her husband Josh, Lori Reed, Kensi Belt and her husband Derek; five great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren and one nephew, Mike Grigg and his wife Rhonda.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Bro. Steve Hale officiating.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Clay with Military Rites conducted at the gravesite.

He is survived by his partner in life, Dorothy Market; three daughters, Teresa Hook, Claudia Scarbrough and Shannon Brooks; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel in Evansville, IN with Bro. J.R. Hume officiating and the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club performed full military rites.
Burial was in White Oak Cemetery in Clay.

He is survived by four sons, Robert Cline, Richard Cline, Billy Cline and Bobby Cline; two brothers, Joe Tapp and Bill Tom Cline; three sisters, Mary Cline, Ida Finch and Charlotte Johnson; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Green Grove Cemetery in Providence.
