Gary Dean Gillham
Gary Dean Gillham, 68, of Henderson, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Hospice Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Rhonda Gillham; one daughter, Elise May of Henderson; three sons, Brian Gillham and Nicholas Gillham both of Henderson and Jesse Gillham of St. Louis, MO; two sisters, Barbara Garrard of Sebree and Linda Floyd of Poole; one brother, Robert Allen Gillham of Henderson; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at noon Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Larry McBride officiating. 
Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.
Rudy-Rowland Funeral in Henderson is in charge of the arrangements.

Sue Casner Hawkins
Sue Casner Hawkins, 76, of Providence, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 at Baptist Health in Madisonville.
She was a longtime member of the White Oak General Baptist Church and a 57 year member of Eastern Star #304.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Francis Casner.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan Gooch of Providence; two sons, Charles G. Hawkins of Henderson and Thomas Hawkins of Providence; four grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013 at White Oak General Baptist Church with Bro Chad Hensley officiating and Bro. Curt Yarbrough assisting.  
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Melton Funeral Home in Providence and from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. paid

Phillip Dewayne Tyson
Phillip Dewayne Tyson, 28, of Rabbit Ridge, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013. 
He is survived by his parents, Elvis and Naomi Tyson; two brothers, Ronald Tyson and Lee Tyson; two sisters, Tanya Cummings and Traci Cummings; several nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013 at Jones and Erdman Funeral Home in Providence. 
Burial was in Lafayette Baptist Church cemetery.

Joseph Lampkins


Joseph Anthony (Tony) Lampkins
Joseph Anthony (Tony) Lampkins, 66, of Owensboro, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013. He was blessed to be in the tender care of Hearford House at the time of his death.
Tony had been a long time employee of the Executive Inn and the Campbell Club. He enjoyed music, golf, reading and being a helpful and compassionate friend. He supported and was a volunteer for Relay for Life.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Joseph O. Lampkins and his mother, Mary Ruth Lampkins. 
He was a member of Bridgepoint Baptist Church.
He is survived by his very best friend, Carolyn Williamson; one sister, Pat Hammack; three nephews and five great-nieces.
There will be a privae memorial service held at a later date.
Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.

Jeff Hendricks


Bro. Jeff Hendricks
Bro. Jeff Hendricks, 55, of Utica, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 at Owensboro Regional Health. He was born Dec. 2, 1957 in Madisonville to the late Carlos Monroe Hendricks and Martha Jane Ashby Hendricks.
Bro. Jeff Hendricks was the current pastor at Walnut Memorial Baptist Church in Owensboro. He has served as pastor at Grapevine Baptist in Madisonville and New Salem Baptist in Nortonville, Brandenburg Baptist Church, Liberty Point in Cadiz and Liberty Baptist in Hickory. 
He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, graduated MNHHS, class of 1975, is in the Hopkins county Sports Hall of Fame with the Maroons Baseball team, a UK fan and a grill master. He attended Murray State University where he was in the Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity, along with Mid Continent University.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Teresa Hendricks; two sons, Trevor Hendricks and Ryan Hendrics both of Utica; two sister, Mary Jane Gamblin and her husband Louis of Dawson Springs and Letitia Raney and her husband Bill of Madisonville.
Services were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 at Grapevine Baptist Church with the Rev. Eugene Howard and Dr. Robert Morrison officiating. 
Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made to the Walnut Memorial Baptist Church or Grapevine Baptist Church.

Ronald W. Hayes
Ronald W. Hayes, 65, of Evansville, IN, formerly of Providence, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013. He was born June 29, 1948 in Providence. He retired from Whirlpool after 41 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Hayes, his parents R.J. and Evadene Hayes.
He is survived by one daughter, Tara Pelton and her husband, Joe of Clay; three step-children, Stacey Hill of Clay, Kathy Rhoades and Kenny Mitchell both of Evansville, IN; one sister, Carolyn Vaughn and her husband, Richard of Dixon; one brother, Darrell Hayes and his wife Ann of Providence; two grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and one step great-grandson.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 at Melton Funeral Home in Providence.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. the date of the service. paid

Murl Staser


Murl Staser
Murl Staser, 80, of Providence, died at 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 from complication with Alzheimer’s. Mrs. Staser was born in Poole and lived in Henderson untill being institutionalized in Denver as an early teen due to Tuberculosis. She remained in this specialized hospital for the entirety of her teenage years orphaned and alone. In spite of great tragedy and personal suffering she persevered and with God’s healing hand she overcame her illness.
She was educated as a nurse and became a spokesperson for the Tuberculosis Society. She returned to Kentucky and married Dan Staser (now deceased) of Providence where she lived for the adult years of her life. She was highly revered by all the patients she cared for and helped improve quality of life in ther final days at Shemwell’s Nursing Home.
She was a member of the Providence General Baptist Church from the late fifties until her passing.
She is survived by one brother, Ray Bartley and his wife, Ruby; one daughter, Donna Faulk of Madisonville; one son, Dan Staser and his wife Jacqueline of Germantown, TN; six grandchildren, Daniel Stevens, Amanda Hill and her husband, Josh, Erica Etheridge and her husband, James, Angela Smith, Amy Hull and her husband, Michael, Damon Staser; five great-grandchildren, Kylie Hill, Noah and Lily Claire Hull, Micha and Elliot Smith.
Services were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2013 at Melton Funeral Home in Providence with the Rev. Barry Cullen and the Rev. Michael Hull officiating. 
Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery in Providence.

Cecelia Louanise Powell, 64, of Providence, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 in her home.
She is survived by her husband, Oscar Powell, Sr.; three sons, Oscar Powell, Jr. of Providence, Tony Powell and Tim Powell of Evansville, IN; three daughters, Betty Powell and LaSenna Powell of Providence, and Teresa Powell of Evansville, IN; one brother, Johnny Thompson of Evansville, IN; three sisters, Francis Coates of Utah, Pam Williams-Owsley of Louisville and Doris Sims of Bloomington, IN; nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013 at Simpson Chapel in Providence. 
Burial was in Cumberland Hill.

Nellie Wylene Duncan England, 88, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013 at the home of Faye and Larry Melton in Dixon.
She is survived by two daughters, Faye Melton of Dixon and Nancy Hardman of Kennesaw, GA; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; a brother, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with the Rev. John Darnell and the Rev. Bobby Therrell officiating. 
Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon was in charge of the local arrangements.
