Wayne Anderson McBride, 74, of Clay, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran and also a coal miner.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Martha McBride; two daughters, Stephanie Holeman of Providence and Shawna Williams of St. Charles; one sister, Delores Childers of Dawson Springs; five brothers, Larry McBride of Dalton, James McBride of Cadiz, William McBride of Evansville, IN, John McBride of Newburgh, IN and Jack McBride of Clay; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013 at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Bro. Jimmy Sigler officiating. 
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Clay.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.                            paid

Darrell W. Dorris
Darrell W. Dorris, 80, of Providence, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at his home.
He was a member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church and the Providence Masonic Lodge #148. He was retired from Inland Steel Company after 31 years.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lonnye Rose Dorris; one son, Mark Dorris of Providence; two grandchildren, Lane and Ali Dorris both of Nashville, TN.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 at Melton Funeral Home in Providence with Bro. Johnnie Davis officiating. 
Burial was in White Oak Cemetery in Clay.
A Masonic service was conducted at 7 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Patricia Ann Oakley
Patricia Ann Oakley, 72, of Providence, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro.
She is survived by her husband, Doyle Oakley; two daughters, Beverly Fowler of Waverly and Allison Whitledge of Providence; one uncle, James  Rich of Dixon; two grandchildren.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 at Jones & Erdman Funeral Home in Providence.
Entombment was in Lakeview Mausoleum in Providence.

Thomas C. Estes, 55, of Sturgis died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at Methodist Hospital Union County.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Patricia Estes; two sons, Jeremy Estes of Henderson and Jody Estes of Slaughters; one sister, Judy Smith of Smith Mills; two brothers, Jimmy Estes of Marion and Buddy Estes of Sturgis; four grandchildren and one great-niece.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis with the Rev. Cody Crowell officiating. 
Burial will be in Grangertown Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Larry Gene Wilson, 59, of Sebree died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Wilson; two sons, Larry D. Wilson and Barry Gene Wilson; two sisters, Linda O’Nan and Darlene Hawkins.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel.

Bill Crowell, 81, of Bowling Green formerly of Providence died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at his home.
He was a retired mechanical engineer and cartoonist. He was a son of the late Archie (Buster) and Mayme Gobin Crowell of Providence and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Bragg.
He is survived by his wife, Pam Crowell; one brother, Sam Crowell of Diamond; one sister, Ann Bohanon of Grand Rivers; two grandsons.
A memorial service was conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013 at Broadway Chapel in Bowling Green.

Richard Lee Epley, 60, of Hanson died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at Baptist Health in Madisonville.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Epley; one daughter, Robin McHenry of Owensboro; two brothers, John Epley and Jimmy Epley both of Hanson; one sister, Janice Looney of Hanson; three granddaughters; several nieces and nephews.
A private family burial was held.

Eric Allen Alexander, 42, of Henderson died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at his home.
He is survived by his companion of 14 years, Danny Markham; his mother, Alice Duncan of Poole; grandmother, Vonda McKenzie of Henderson; two sisters, Denise Duncan of Poole and Crystal Duncan of Henderson; three stepchildren, Angel Trotter, Michael Markham and Marc Markham; one niece and one nephew and one goddaughter. 
Services were conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013 at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home in Henderson with Scotty Phillips officiating.

Mary Helen Burnett, 86, of Providence died Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Shemwell Health Care in Providence.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Burnett; three children, Alta Gooch and her husband Jim of Providence, Robbie Davis and her husband, Mert of Owensboro and Jerry Burnett and his wife Carolyn of Dixon; one sister, Portia Jones of Providence; three brothers, Tip Hearrin and Everett Gene Hearrin both of Providence and Billy Don Hearrin of Dalton; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great granchildren.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013 at Melton Funeral Home in Providence with the Rev. Barry Cullen officiating. 
Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery in Clay.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Virginia R. Poff Allen, 89, of Poole died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson.
She was a housewife and a member of the St. Michaels Catholic Church in Sebree. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie W. Allen.
She is survived by one son, Stephen P. Allen and his wife, Pam of Henderson; one brother, Lawrence F. Poff and his wife, Lucille of Evansville, IN; nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2013 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Sebree with Father Al Bremer officiating. 
Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole.
There was no visitation.
In lieu of flowers donations can be mae to your favorite charity.

Gayle Hall, 57, of Nebo died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at her home.
She is survived by her husband, David Hall; two sons, Jon Hall of Madisonville and Tim Hall of Bowling Green; three brothers, Melvin Perdue of Madisonville, Greg and Steve Perdue both of Dalton; two grandchildren.
Services were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013 at Providence Second Baptist Church with Bro. Fred Harrison and Bro. Bob Bridges officiating. 
Burial was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Providence.

Vernon Ray Whitledge


Vernon Ray Whitledge
Vernon Ray Whitledge, 84, of Clay died Thursday, August 29, 2013, at Shemwell Nursing Home in Providence.
He was of baptist faith and was retired from Webster County Coal, Dotiki Mine in 1991. Throughout his coal mining career he also was a life long farmer.
He was preceded in death his wife of 58 years Louie Earl Whitledge, one son, Douglas Waide Whitledge, a daughter, Faith Elaine Owens, one granddaughter, Kymberli Dania McKeehan, one great-grandson, Conner Clark Whitledge, his parents Verris Vernon and Lillian Mae (Threlkeld) Whitledge.
He is survived two daughters, Mandy Spencer and her husband, Shane of  Clay and Ann Hill and her husband, Joe Mack of Beaver Dam; two sons, Wayne Whitledge of Clay and Walter Whitledge and his wife, Marcia of Clay; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2013 at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Bro. Clifton Vandiver officiating. 
Burial was in White Oak Cemetery in Clay.
