Patricia Anne DeMoss, 72, of Evansville, IN, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013 at Deaconess Hospice Care Center.
She is survived by three sisters, Rebecca Gail Demoss of Madisonville, Hazel Sharon Harper of Sebree and Karen Sue LeGrand of Earlington; her dear friend, Malcolm Tim Almon of Evansville, IN; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service wasconducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home with the Rev. Karl Crowe officiating. 
Burial was in Bates Hill Cemetery in Yankeetown, IN.

Lorene B. McAtee, 85, of Smith Mills, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, IN.
She is survived by one daughter, Deborah DeSpain of Henderson; one son, Herb McKee of Henderson; two sisters, Sue Carter of Smith Mills and Wilma Crowell of Providence; one brother, Ray Buckman of Smith Mills; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home with the Rev.s Frieda Alexander and Steve Hale officiating. 
Entombment was in Fairmont Cemetery Mausoleum.

James “T” Higgins
James “T” Higgins, 70, of Sebree, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013 at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sue (Boggess) Higgins; two sons, James Higgins and Jeff Higgins both of Sebree; one sister, Nita DeVoe of Evansville, IN; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Services were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree with Bro. Gary Ashby officiating. 
Burial was in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree.

Lucille McGaw Melton
Lucille McGaw Melton, 96, of Providence died on Saturday December 21, 2013 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY.
Mrs. Melton was born in Webster County, the daughter of the late Walter B. McGaw and Elizabeth Higginson McGaw, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Melton on August 21, 1992, and four sisters and two brothers.
She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Providence, co-owner of Melton Funeral Home with her son Richard, past member of the Alpha Pakendall Club.
She is survived by one son, Richard Melton and his wife Jan of Providence; grandchildren Georgianna Melton Haas of Evansville, IN and Stanton A. Melton of Providence; great grandchildren Savannah Haas and Meagan Jackson both of Evansville, IN; and much beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday December 24, 2013 at Melton Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Stone officiating, with burial to follow in the Lisman Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Saint Anthony’s Hospice.      paid

Henry Earl Franklin, 62, of Dixon, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013 at the Jon Cochran VA Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.
He was a US Marine Veteran. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for over 40 years and was a member of the VFW Post #5484 in Providence. 
He was preceded in death by his father George Henry Franklin.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Paula Franklin; his mother, Dorothy Franklin of Dixon; one daughter, Stephanie Greenwell and her husband, Jeremy of Sebree; one son, Brian Franklin and his wife, Mandee of Dixon; three sisters, Delois Ferguson of Evansville, IN, Martha Parrish and Sandy Turner both of Dixon; four nephews, one niece and one great-niece.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2013 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon with the Rev. Christ Odle officiating. 
Burial was in Old Cedar Grove Cemetery in Tilden where full military rites were performed by the American Legion Worsham Post #40 of Henderson.

Ula “Dean” (Tyson) Scott, 80, of Slaughters, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013 at Redbanks Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree.
She is survived by her husband, Harlin Scott, Jr.; two stepchildren Harlin D. Scott of Slaughters and Robin Locke of Dawson Springs; three sisters, Jerri Cothran of Tennessee, Sue Prow of Indiana and Delois Pool of Hanson; one brother, Carroll Tyson of Hanson; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel with Bro. Harry Baldwin officiating. 
Burial was in Onton Cemetery.

Linda Sue Ray, 78, of Madisonville, formerly of Providence, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013 at Baptist Health in Madisonville.
She is survived by her husband, Carroll “Snag” Ray; one daughter, Cindy Tracy of Madisonville; one brother, Charles Phillips of Texas; one sister, Shirley Cobb of Henderson; two granddaughters; several nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013 at Jones & Erdman Funeral Home in Providence. 
Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery in Providence.

Walker Eli Hall


Walker Eli Hall, 86 of Clay, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, IN.
He worked for Kentucky Utilities for 36-½ years as a service technician. He was a member of Fairview Church of Christ in Dixon, KY.  He was preceded in death by one son Dennie Hall in 1985.


He is survived by his wife of 63 years Lexi Hall; four daughters, Dotty Frodge and her husband Edward of Hanson, Diann Riley of Henderson, Debbie Lovelace and her husband Tommy of Clay, Donna Yancy and her husband Terry of Dixon; two sisters and three brothers; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Rex Childs and Bill Williams officiating. 
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Clay.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 8 a.m. until serivce time.

Mike 'Mumbles' 'Duck' Sutton died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 at at his residence.
He is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Pollard of Madisonville; one son Adam Sutton of Madisonville; one sister Eva Downs of Slaughters; two brothers, Thomas Sutton Jr. of Texas and Stevie Sutton of Slaughters; caretaker, Donna Sutton of Madisonville; five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 at the United Church of Jesus Christ on Beagle Park Drive. There will be a memorial service during this time, the family requested camouflage attire if possible.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy (Russell) DeGraffenreid; two sons, David DeGraffenreid  and John William DeGraffenreid both of Newburgh, IN; one brother, Charles Ray DeGraffenreid of Township, MI; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with the Rev. Carl Mann officiating. 
Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson.

Barbara Ray (Cox) Baxter, 78 of Sebree, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 at her home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.
She is survived by two daughters, Veronica Greenwell and Pam Moore both of Sebree; one son, Donald Baxter of Sebree; one brother, Billy Gene McLevain of Anthoston; one sister, Shirley Sue Baxter of Henderson; ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel with Bro. Bill Anderson officiating. 
Burial was in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree.

Martha (Katie) Wyatt


Martha (Katie) Wyatt
Martha (Katie) Wyatt, 89 of Providence, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 at Newburgh Healthcare in Newburgh, IN.
She was born on October 30, 1924 to Lewis and Luffie Howton Felker.
Martha was married to James Newman Wyatt on Dec. 2, 1945. This union was blessed with two children, Frank of Taylorsville and Rachel of Newburgh, IN. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, two infant sisters, one brother, one infant grandson and her loving husband.
Having been a long-time member of Stoney Point Primitive Baptist Church, she later was a loyal member of the Providence Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by both children; son-in-law, Bill; daughter-in-law, Connie; two grandsons, Frank and Jamas; four great-grandchildren, Jacob, Lucas, Noah and Madeline and one brother.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 at Melton Funeral Home in Providence with Elder Jeff Wynfrey officiating. 
Burial was in Big Hill Cemetery in Providence.

Don Jerome Stone, 49 of Dixon, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 at his parent's home.
He had worked at GE in Madisonville for 15 years, and was also a KY Colonel. He was a member of Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church in Dixon.
He is survived by his parents, Donald and Ann Stone of Poole; one brother, Mark Stone and his wife, Mindy of Boxville; one nephew, Veston Stone and several step-nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon with the Rev. Selby Coomer officiating. 
Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery in Dixon.
