Jimmy “Sarge” Wayne Wimberly
Jimmy “Sarge” Wayne Wimberly, 70, of Nebo, formerly of Nortonville, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Baptist Health in Madisonville.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Littlepage Wimberly; one daughter, Kristi Durham of Nebo; one son, John Wimberly of Nortonville; two brothers, Stephen Wimberly of Wisconsin and David Wimberly of Providence; two grandchildren.
Memorial services were conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2013 at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonvillewith the Rev. John Banks and Dale Somero officiating. 
Private interment will be at a later date.

Colin James Jennings, infant, was still born.
He is survived by his parents, Ryan Jennings and Valerie Nicole Jennings; grandparents, Dennis and Julie Martin and the late Harold and Marsha Jennings; several aunts and uncles.
Graveside services were conducted at Jennings Cemetery with Minister Paul Stone officiating. 
Jones & Erdman Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Eugene Phelps, 77, of Hartford died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
He was born May 28, 1963 in Ohio County to the late Lonnie Phelps Sr. and Bernice Eard Phelps.
He was a member of Longview General Bpatist church where he was a deacon since 1959. He was a retired coal miner from Peabody Coal Company.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Monnie Taylor Phelps, two daughters, Tammy Jo Phelps and Paula Sue Burton, one son, Allen Eugene Phelps and three sisters, Ann Bullock, Deloris Geary and Louise Decker.
He is survived by his wife, Dammye White Phelps; two daughters, Kim Baize and her husband, Robert of Beaver Dam and Lisa Butler and her husband, Rickie of Cromwell; one step-son, Allen Liggett of Poole; three step-daughters, Leah Szablinski and her husband Ed of Tucson, AZ, Loretta Duncan and her husband, Ernest of Henderson and Melody Ruffin and her husband Joey of Evansville, IN; four brothers, Lonnie Phelps, Jr. and his wife JoAnna of Pleasant Ridge, J.C. Phelps and his wife Janet of Olaton, John Phelps and his wife, JoAnn of Owensboro and Walter Phelps and his wife, Bonnie of Owensboro; two sisters, Pauline Daugherty of Florida and Sudie Pendley and her husband Bourbon of Morgantown; four grandchildren, Zachary S. Baize, Samuel E. Burton, Lany F. Baize and Taylor A Butler; seven step-grandchildren and eight step-great grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013 at Longview General Baptist Church in Beaver Dam with the Rev. Jay Raymond officiating. 
Burial will be in  Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at William L. Danks Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at Longview General Baptist Church.

Nana Geneva Staser, 89, of Providence died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2013 at NHC in Madisonville.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Frederick and her husband, David of Providence; one son, David William Staser and his wife Gay of Madisonville; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-granchildren and three great great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2013 at Jones & Erdman Funeral Home in Providence. 
Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Providence.

Cornada C. Bowling, 98, of Providence died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Shirley Smith of Chicago, IL; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Bowling of Henderson and Clarice Bowling of Sacramento, KY; two granchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at Jones & Erdman Funeral Home in Providence with Minister Elder W.R. Hopson and the Rev. James Brasher officiating. 
Burial was in Cumberland Hill Cemetery in Providence.

Joyce Sue Crawford, 75, of Nebo died Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at Brighton Cornerstone Healthcare in Madisonville.
She is survived by three daughters, Marsha Thompson and Sharon Jenkins of Nebo and Ann Marie Crawford of Manitou; one son, Eddie Crawford of Cadiz; six sisters, Dorothy Hyatt, Martha Lutz, Gracie Jones and Glenda Eastwood all of Madisonville, Phyllis Stone of Dixon and Edith White of Georgia; two brothers, Larry Jones and H. Wayne Jones both of Madisonville; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2013 at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Clay with Bro. Rick Oakley officiating. 
Vanover Funeral Home in Clay was in charge of the arrangements.

Eston Willard Glover, Sr.


Eston Willard Glover, Sr.
Eston Willard Glover, Sr., 90, of Morningside Assisted Living died at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.
A native of Christian County, he was born May 9, 1923, the son of the late Ernie Gooch Glover and Ofa Lela Haile Glover. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a retired equipment supervisor for the State of Kentucky, an auto mechanic and the owner/operator of The Little Shop on Main.
He was also a U.S. Army Veteran who served in WWII. He was a lifetime member of the Western Kentucky State Fair Board.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Golden Louise Armstrong Glover, in 2005.
He is survived by two sons, Eston W. Glover, Jr. and his wife Jo of Elkton and Thomas P. Glover and his wife Paula of Providence; two daughters, Janice Louise Glover of Madisonville and Donna Cornelius and her husband Barry of Hopkinsville; one brother, the Rev. Billy Glover and his wife Brenda; 11 grandchildren, Eston Glover, III, Elizabeth Oldham, Kim Haward, Ragan Shilin Glover, Jason Glover, Cpt. Jordan Glover, Brandy Sandidge, Jackie Branson, Emily Cornelius, Carla Cornelius and Cannon Cornelius; 13 great-grandchildren, Will Keeling, Kourtney Keeling, Chase Oldham, Ryleigh Oldham, Eston Glover, IV, Cole Glover, Caroline Glover, Reese Glover, Riley Sandidge, Ryder Sandidge, Carlee Sandidge, Eillie Branson, and Cash Branson; one great great- grandchild, Constance Keeling.
Services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville with the Rev. Greg Giltner and the Rev. Dr. Joe Bufford officiating. 
Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.

Yvonne (Stills) Nelson, 78, of Hanson died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Baptist Health in Madisonville.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Timmons Nelson; three sons, Carl Nelson of Kuttawa, Larry Nelson and Dwight Nelson both of Hanson; one daughter, Elizabeth Swick of Madisonville; one sister, Anna Lipford; six grandchildre, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel with Bro. Carl Nelson officiating. 
Burial was in Hanson City Cemetery.

Sue Ann Cook, 68, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at University of Louisville Hospital.
She is survived by two daughters, Glenda Perkins of Madisonville and Cathy Jo Cox of Evansville; fours sons, Billy Marshall, Anthony K. Marshall both of Madisonville, James Warner and William Godspodinoff both of Evansville; two sister, Genevieve sandefer and Sarah Hinton both of Evansville; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at Jones & Erdman Funeral Home in Providence.  
Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time.

Donald Lee Stokes, 57, of Clay, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at his home.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Diana Stokes; one daughter, Veronica Baldwin of Madisonville; two sons, Eric Luffman of Madisonville and Troy Luffman of Nortonville; five brothers, Eddie Stokes of Chicago, IL, Dean, Tony and Ben Stokes all of Elkton and Larry Stokes of Hopkinsville; five grandchildren.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013 at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Jake Young officiating. 
Burial was in New Clay Cemetery in Clay.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Doris Marlin; two daughters, Mona Simms of Providence and Lilly Marlin of Lexington; one son, Randal Simms of Providence; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, oct. 4, 2013 at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Providence. 
Burial was in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.
Mason and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Robert Lee Layman, Jr., died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at Western Kentucky Veterans Center.
He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Chancellor of Sebree and Nicole Clements of Morganfield; one sister, Mary Sue Simmons of Mortons Gap; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013 at Springdale Cemetery in Sebree with Bro. Jerry Brewer officiating. 
Full military rites were conducted by Hopkins County Honor Guard.

Steve Parker, 59, of Hanson died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at Baptist Health in Madisonville.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Nancy Thorpe Parker; two sons, Chris Hall of Madisonville and Matthew Parker of Hanson; one step-son, Dylan Basham of Hanson; one brother, Bob Parker of Sebree; one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Gary Taylor officiating. 
Military rites were performed at the gravesite by Hopkins County Honor Guard.

Donald E. Burklow, 81, of Clay, died Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at Baptist Health in Madisonville.
He is survived by two daughters, Debra Burklow Hornback of Princeton, IN and Beverly Burklow Jones of Dixon; one son, Mark Burklow of Madisonville; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon. There will be no service.

Martha E. Cole, 93, of Frankfort, a native of Providence/Webster County, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at her home.
She is survived by one son, Jerry Cole; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-granchildren and nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013 at LeCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home in Frankfort with Dr. Chuck Queen officiating. 
Burial was in Frankfort Cemetery.

William Earl Taylor, 73, of Henderson, formerly of Webster County, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Minnie Taylor; three sons, Gary Owens and Sammy Taylor of Poole and Dennis Taylor of Tilden; one brother, Lawrence Taylor of Liberty; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
There will be a private family service at a later date.
Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon is in charge of the arrangements.
