Margie Ann Winstead
Margie Ann Winstead 77, of Nebo died at Baptist Health in Madisonville on Saturday July 26, 2014. 
She had worked for the Hopkins County School System and was a housewife. She was a member of Rose Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Nebo. She was preceded in death by her husband Leroy Winstead in 2007. 
Survivors include her 2 daughters Penny Hardwick and husband Noel of White Plains and Kathy Mitchell and her husband Garry of Charleston; one son Chris Winstead and his wife Lisa of Nebo; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. 
Services were conducted at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon Tuesday July 29, 2014 at 1 p.m. with Billy Parrish officiating. 
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Dixon. 
Pallbearers were Dustin Winstead, Derick Winstead, Brian Mitchell, Nathaniel Hardwick, Jason Ramage and Paul Jones.

Dennis Gene Darr, 67, of Clay, KY passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
He attended Community Fellowship Church in Clay.
He was a member of the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karolyn of Clay; two daughters Donna Renshaw of Bowling Green and Denise Noble and her husband Nate of Morgantown; four sisters, Doris Jones of Atlanta, GA, Joan Denton and her husband Jim of Madisonville, Paula Johnson and her husband Chuck of The Villiages, FL, and Darby Hunter and her husband Bob of Versailles; one brother, Steven Darr of Sebree; five grandchildren, Danny Renshaw II, Rush Renshaw and Mallory Renshaw, Barrett Noble and Reed Noble.
Services will be conducted Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Bro. Earl Reeves officiating.
Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Stacey Dean Smith, 52 of Providence died Thursday, July 24, 2014 at his home. 
He is survived by three half-sisters, Lisa Jennings of Mortons Gap, Shannon Mercer of White Plains and Stephanie Scott of Madisonville; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday July 27, 2014 at Springdale Cemetery in Sebree with Bro. Chip Palmer officiating.

Donnie G. Stevens
Donnie G. Stevens born 12-25-41, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the home of his nephew Tony Stevens in Ozark, AL. 
He was preceded in death by his father, Ross Stevens, his mother, Mary (Villines) Stevens, his brothers, Leser Stevens, Bobby Stevens and his sisters, Dot Blanford and Christine Smallwood.
He is survived by his brothers, Martin Stevens of Chicago and Glenn Stevens of Covington.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday July 26, 2014 at Prospect Church Cemetery on Hwy. 70/Beulah Road. 
The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to Dale County Medical Center, Dr. Connie Chandler, Dale County Hospice and especially Tammy (Tony) Stevens and Annie Stevens.                       paid

Margareta J. Simpson, 83 of Clay died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at her son’s residence in Clay. 
She is survived by two sons, Willie Simpson and Tommy Nolan Simpson both of Clay; one daughter, Kristina McCoy; one sister, Shelia Lovan of Clay; three brothers, Bill Sigler, David Sigler both of Clay and Steve Sigler; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
There was no visitation or service. 
Vanover Funeral Home in Clay was in charge of the arrangements.

Betty Jean Plemmons
Betty Jean Plemmons, 82 formerly of Webster County  died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in Owensboro at the Heartford House. 
She is survived by one son, Mike Plemmons; one daughter, Donna Plemmons; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. 
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday July 11, 2014 at Jones Funeral Home in Providence.
Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Wayne Bryant


Wayne Bryant
Wayne Bryant, 82, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton. 
He was born March 10, 1932 in Nebo to the late John Walter Bryant and Anna Belle (Keeney) Bryant. He moved to Patoka, Indiana from Providence, Kentucky in 1965 where he owned and operated Bryant Sawmill, he then moved to Floyds Knobs, Indiana in 1975 and worked for Wood Mosaic in Louisville and also owned Bryant Veneers in New Albany, IN, he then moved to Newburgh, IN in 2009 and then to Princeton in 2012. He was a member of Columbia Masonic lodge 450 in Patoka, past-president of Patoka lions Club and the Patoka Futures, also member of Hadl Shrine Temple in Evansville and the Elks lodge in New Albany. He also held the distinction of being awarded the Sagamore of the Wabash and was a Kentucky Colonel. 
He is survived by his four children, Anna Cheryl Decker of Evansville, Donna D. (Don) Bishop of Patoka, Alicia A. (Kent) Newton of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and David W. J. (Deana) Bryant of Dublin, OH; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. 
He was preceded In death by his parents; a son, Larry Wayne Bryant in 2008 and his wife of 58 years, Larry Ann (Hudson) Bryant in 2008. 
Visitation will be from 4 until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Colvin Funeral Home, 425 North Main Street, Princeton, IN, with Columbia Milsonic lodge conducting a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. 
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Melton Funeral Home in Providence, with Pastor Brian Gibson officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the service hour. 
Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Providence. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children at www.shrinershospitalsforchlldren.org or envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Lucinda Potter, 66 of Smith Mills died Sunday, June 29, 2014 at her home. 
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ronald Potter; one daughter, Stacey Sheets of Henderson; three sisters, Wanda Duncan of Corydon, Debra Shreeve of Evansville, IN, and Lisa Carroll Mullins of Poole; three brothers, Royce Earl Mills of Henderson, Dwight Mills of Owensboro and Johnny Mills of Poole; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted at 12 p.m. Thursday July 3, 2014 at Tapp Funeral Home  with the Rev. Jack Ross officiating. 
Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Benny Lynn Jones, 64 of Providence died Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Baptist Health in Madisonville. 
He was preceded in death by his father, William B. Jones of East Prairie, MO and one sister, Linda Pashia of Dupo, IL.
He was a Marine Corps. Veteran of the Vietnam War and life-member of VFW Post #5484 in Providence.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Jones; one daughter, Crystal Rustin and her husband, Jeff of Clay; one son, Benny Lynn “BJ” Jones, Jr. and his wife, Jasmine of Poole; his mother, Daisy Jones of East Prairie, MO; two sisters, Mary Schoessel of Cedar Hill, MO, and Brenda Irby of Sikeston, MO; one brother, Gary Jones of Farminton, MO; one granddaughter, Bailey Lynn Jones of Poole.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday July 9, 2014 at Providence General Baptist Church with Bro. Barry Cullen and Bro. Billy Don Hearrin officiating.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m.- 11 a.m. at Melton Funeral Home in Providence and from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. 
Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery in Clay where military honors will be performed by the United States Marine Corp.                 paid

Virginia “Judy” Whitledge, 90, of Providence, died Friday, July 4, 2014 at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville.
She was a member of White Oak General Baptist Church in Clay since 1994.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tonia Beth Hughes in 1972.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jack Whitledge; one son, Charles “Butch” Hughes and his wife, Peggy of Slaughters; one step-son, Rodger Whitledge of Providence; one step-daughter, Cindy Williams and her husband, John of Providence; four step-grandchildren, Travis Williams, Katy Collins, Lacy Whitledge and Cody Whitledge.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2014 at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Bro. Rick Oakley officiating.
