Billy Joe Farmer, 83, of Dixon, died Sunday, March  16, 2014 at Baptist Health in Madisonville.

He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Stone and Jeana Akins both of Dixon; one son, Ronnie Farmer of Dixon; two sisters, Ruth Shoulders of Clay and Susie Blackston of Henderson; two brothers, Paul Farmer of Evansville, IN and Carol Wayne Farmer of Orange, TX; six granchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Slover Missionary Baptist Church in Dixon with the Rev. Tim Martin officiating.   

Burial will be in Slover Cemetery in Dixon where military services will be conducted by the Hopkins County Honor Guard.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon.
