Betty Sue Melton Hust 90, of Henderson, KY formerly of Providence, KY passed away at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY on Sunday May 29, 2016.
She was the former Co-owner of the Journal Enterprise from 1963-2014, and a member of the Providence First United Methodist Church in Providence, KY. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Lorene Dixon Melton. She was preceded in death by her husband William Edgar “Edd” Hust in 2005 and 1 son William Thomas “Bill” Hust in 1966.
Survivors include 2 daughters Barbara Begley and husband Bruce and Betsy Teer and husband Phillip both of Henderson, KY; 1 son Charlie Hust and wife Melissa of Providence, KY; 7 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren; Leslie Duckworth(Josh), Emily Begley, Billy Begley(Lee), Laura Peck(Jimmy), Andrew May, Charlie Hust, Olivia Hust, Aaron Teer, Landon Teer and Natalie Teer; 6 great grand, and 1 niece and 1 nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday June 2, 2016 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Chaplain Mary Wrye will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Providence, KY. Norma Jean Pryor
Norma Jean Pryor, 64, of Providence, KY, died May 14, at Baptist Health in Madisonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Ruby (Buie) Groves; her husband, Walter Lee Pryor; a son, Joshua Lee Pryor; and brother, Tim Hollaway.
She is survived by three sons, Jonathan Pryor, Daniel Pryor, and Jeremiah Pryor; two sisters, Shirley England and Judy Daugherty; and two brothers, Richard Groves and Cletus Groves.
Services will be Tuesday, May 17, at 6 p.m. at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Slaughters. Justin Pryor will officiate.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 17 from 5-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

James William “J.W.” Link 73, of Clay, KY, passed away at his home on Saturday May 14, 2016.
He was a coal miner and a farmer. He was also a US Army Veteran. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Dixon, KY.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Link.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, June Nally Link of Clay, KY; one daughter, Nita Johnson and husband Keith of Slaughters, KY; one son, Jimmy Ray Link and wife Traci of Roswell, Georgia; two sisters, Judy Flewallen of Madisonville, KY, and Carolyn Hancock of Beulah, KY; two brothers, David Link of Henderson, KY, and Ray Link of Dixon, KY; six grandchildren, Reese Johnson, Emily Johnson, Matthew Link, Zack Link, Olivia Link and Sam Link; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday May 17, 2016, at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Minister Gary Puryear and Rev. Laddie Pride will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dixon, KY.

Charles Travis Gardner 92, of Diamond, KY, passed away at Veterans Center in Hanson, KY.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Jewell Gardner; wife, Dorothy Gardner; and son, Mike Gardner.
He is survived by his sons, Marty Gardner, Chris Gardner, and David Gardner; daughters, Deborah Hopper, Joy Watson, and Roxanne Dennis; and stepsons, Wally Sayers and Geoffery Sayers.
Visitation will be in the chapel of Jones and Kirby Funeral Home Monday, May 9, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. also Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville, KY.
John S. Ramsey Jr.
John S. Ramsey Jr., 73, of Dixon, KY, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY.
He was retired from Big Rivers Electric Corporation after 26 years as an Engineer. He was a US Army Veteran, and served as a Dixon City Commissioner for four years. He was also an avid gardener and a car enthusiast. He was a member of the Dixon First Baptist Church in Dixon, KY.
He was the son of the late John S. Ramsey Sr. and Helen Heitmeyer Ramsey.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Barbara Harris Ramsey of Dixon, KY; one son, John S. Ramsey III and his wife Blair of Vestavia Hills, Alabama; and two grandsons, Cooper and Cameron.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday May 8, 2016 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Bro Hollis Marshall will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Dixon, KY. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Saturday and from 8am until service time on Sunday at the funeral home. Military services will be conducted graveside by the Hopkins County Honor Guard.
