James William “J.W.” Link


James William “J.W.” Link 73, of Clay, KY, passed away at his home on Saturday May 14, 2016. 

He was a coal miner and a farmer. He was also a US Army Veteran. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Dixon, KY. 

He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Link. 

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, June Nally Link of Clay, KY; one daughter, Nita Johnson and husband Keith of Slaughters, KY; one son, Jimmy Ray Link and wife Traci of Roswell, Georgia; two sisters, Judy Flewallen of Madisonville, KY, and Carolyn Hancock of Beulah, KY; two brothers, David Link of Henderson, KY, and Ray Link of Dixon, KY; six grandchildren, Reese Johnson, Emily Johnson, Matthew Link, Zack Link, Olivia Link and Sam Link; several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday May 17, 2016, at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Minister Gary Puryear and Rev. Laddie Pride will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dixon, KY. 

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, and from 8am until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice 2410 S. Green St Henderson, KY 42420. Online condolences can be made at www.townsendfuneralhomeinc.com
