Betty Sue Melton Hust 90, of Henderson, KY formerly of Providence, KY passed away at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY on Sunday May 29, 2016.
She was the former Co-owner of the Journal Enterprise from 1963-2014, and a member of the Providence First United Methodist Church in Providence, KY. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Lorene Dixon Melton. She was preceded in death by her husband William Edgar “Edd” Hust in 2005 and 1 son William Thomas “Bill” Hust in 1966.
Survivors include 2 daughters Barbara Begley and husband Bruce and Betsy Teer and husband Phillip both of Henderson, KY; 1 son Charlie Hust and wife Melissa of Providence, KY; 7 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren; Leslie Duckworth(Josh), Emily Begley, Billy Begley(Lee), Laura Peck(Jimmy), Andrew May, Charlie Hust, Olivia Hust, Aaron Teer, Landon Teer and Natalie Teer; 6 great grand, and 1 niece and 1 nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday June 2, 2016 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Chaplain Mary Wrye will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Providence, KY. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Wednesday and from 9am until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice 2410 S. Green St. Henderson, KY 42420.
