Shelby Jean Mock

Shelby Jean Mock Childs 71, of Dixon passed away at home on Saturday January 31, 2015. She was a Homemaker and had worked 17 years in the School Cafeteria for Webster County School System. She was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ in Dixon. She was the daughter of the late William C. and Lear Parrish Mock of Bertrand, Missouri. 

Survivors include her husband of 53 years Rex Childs of Dixon; one daughter, Tabitha Puryear and her husband Darrell of Greenville; three sons, Rex Hayden Childs Jr. and his wife Lisa of Lynn, Alabama, Tim Childs and his wife Betty of Warner Robins, Georgia and John Mark Childs and his wife Amanda of Princeton; one sister, Janet Singleton and her husband Jerry of Jackson, MO, and one brother, Tom Mock and his wife Sandy of Bertrand, MO; six grandchildren, Allison Clark, Christopher Childs, Jonathan Childs, Christian Dearing, Kyra Dearing and Emma Dearing. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday Feb 2, 2015 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon. Minister Gary Puryear officiated. 

Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Dixon. 

Visitation was from 1-4:30 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home and from 8am until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
