David Earl Felker, 64, of Clay, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at his home.
He was a member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Providence.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Shelia Groves and his parents Orville Felker and Dorothy Stofleth.
He was a coal miner at Island Creek Coal Co. for 23 years.
He is survived by his companion Midge Nail of Clay; two sons, Tod Felker and his wife Laura of Henderson, David Felker and his wife Tammy of Clay; one daughter Mitzi Soukup and her husband David of Clay; four brothers, Tony Felker and his wife Loretta and Jerry Felker all of Providence, Robert Felker and his wife Debbie and Darrel Felker all of Clay; one sister, Candy Gibson and her husband Gary of Clay; step-mother Betty Felker of Clay and godmother, Vondell Johnson of San Antonio, TX; six grandchildren Alexa Felker, Cody Felker, Rachel Felker, Toby Felker, Colten Edwards, Chloe Felker.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January, 31, 2015 at 12 p.m. at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Bro. Laddie Pride officiating and burial at Rowland Cemetery in Caldwell County. Visitation was Friday, January 30, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. and from 8 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
