Larry Gene Turner
Larry Gene Turner 64, of Providence went to meet his earthly father, George Jewell Turner in heaven on Sunday December 7, 2014.
Larry was a decorated Vietnam War Veteran and a member of the Dixon General Baptist Church in Dixon. Larry loved to work crosswords, puzzles, watching Jeopardy (knowing most of the answers) and fishing.
He is survived by his mother Rosielee Whitford of Dixon; his son George Turner and wife Kimberly of Dixon; his sister Angie Boram and husband Kenn of Eddyville; three aunts, Carolyn Floyd and husband Bruce; Gladys Burklow and Virginia Turner; one niece, Kim Shoulders and husband Brandon and was a great uncle to Jackson and Brady Shoulders. 10 living cousins with two of them Teresa Thompson and husband Willie and Mary Beth Turner and fiancé Leon Miller helping in his care.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday December 10 at 2pm at Oak Grove Cemetery in Dixon, KY. Bro. Paul Ware will officiate. Hopkins Co. Honor Guard will perform Military services at the graveside.
