Allen “Whistle” Shelton

Allen “Whistle” Shelton, 87, of Clay died Friday, Jan. 30, 2015 at Lucy Smith King Center in Henderson.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Christine Shelton; two sons, Allen Lee Shelton and Gary Dee Shelton both of Clay; two sisters, Alma Aldridge of Martin, TN, and Elizabeth McCormick of Sharon, TN; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Webb Memorial United Methodist Church in Clay with Bro. David Harting and Dr. Brian Small officiating. 

Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Clay where military honors were conducted.

Vanover Funeral Home in Clay was in charge of the arrangements.
