Bernice Lee Crook Wilson, 95, of Providence, Kentucky went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ peacefully at 4:17 AM on September 23rd, 2014 in the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.  Bernice was born on November 17, 1918 in Providence. 
Bernice was the longest living member of the Providence Second Baptist Church, joining the church on June 13th, 1942. Bernice served as the church secretary, Sunday school teacher and she helped to write the church’s history. She taught every Sunday school class in the church during her years as a member, with the exception of the men’s Sunday school class. She worked at the Providence Machine Shop where most knew her as Miss B. 
Gran was the Matriarch of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Diskle ‘Dick’ Davis Wilson (Dixon, KY), her father Arthur Mack ‘Papa’ Crook, mother Donie Elizabeth Hall Crook, and her siblings Dora Louella Crook, Author Marlin Crook, William ‘Bill’ Crook, Arlie Bradley Crook, Jamey Crook, Ramie Franklin Crook and Robert Hall Crook. 
Bernice is survived by her daughter Sharon L. Padgett of Evansville, IN; four granddaughters Melba L. Henry (Mike) of Newberry, IN, Jonna L. Langston (Bobby) of Henderson, Penny L. Padgett of New Harmony, IN, and Sara L. Artman (Lance) of Clay, KY; six great grandchildren, Matthew L. Henry (Nicole) of Cincinnati, OH, Christopher D. Henry  of Newberry, IN, James S. Henry of Newberry, IN, Heather L. Resler of Henderson, Michael J. Langston (Amanda) of Henderson, and Jaylee Artman of Clay; 13 great great-grandchildren, Tristan, Dylan, Landon, Kathleen, Katelin, Shelby, Taylor, Natalie, Damian, Emma, and Parker Henry, Malin Resler, and Hadlee Langston. 
Funeral Services will be held at the Providence Second Baptist Church of Providence at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday 25, 2014 with Bro. Fred Harrison officiating.  
Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Providence.  
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Providence Second Baptist Church.   
Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Second Baptist Church, 700 Langley Ave, Providence, KY, 42450. 
Melton Funeral Home of Providence will be in charge of arrangements. paid
